Law360 emphasized how Ken will work with Parker Poe partner Bruce Thompson to expand Parker Poe's government relations services through Parker Poe Federal Strategies. Bruce leads the law firm's Government & Public Policy Practice and has over 30 years of experience helping clients navigate the halls of government, including representing clients before Congress and the North Carolina General Assembly.
Bruce explained how Ken will be able to offer clients a constant presence in Washington, DC.
"Until now, we didn't have anyone on Capitol Hill every day," he said. Bruce and Ken knew each other previously as Ken hired Bruce to handle lobbying work when Ken was with Molina Healthcare and then Commonwealth Care Alliance.
"I've been able to see him operate from the inside of a healthcare company, and I think one of the things that he really brings is that client perspective," Bruce said. "And he's got a great track record on the Hill … on healthcare issues. I think out of the gate here, that's going to be a focus for him, because people in that industry know him."
