Federal Government Relations

Overview

Clients turn to Parker Poe Federal Strategies for bipartisan lobbyists with a combined 60 years of experience helping corporations and associations achieve their public policy priorities. Our practice is supported by the full force of Parker Poe, a 275-attorney law firm with offices in the nation's capital, the Carolinas, and Georgia.

Our practice is led by Ken Preede, a veteran lobbyist on Capitol Hill and principal at Parker Poe Consulting. As a former government relations leader for a Fortune 500 company, a nationally recognized not-for-profit, and national associations, Ken has a deep understanding of his clients' perspectives and a significant track record of developing and advancing federal lobbying strategic plans. Ken and Bruce Thompson, a partner at Parker Poe who leads the law firm's Government & Public Policy Practice, work together to help clients navigate Congress, federal agencies, and the administration.

Ken and Bruce bring bipartisan perspectives to their work. Ken has held professional volunteer roles with high-profile Republican U.S. Senate campaigns and at several Republican National Conventions. Bruce has advised Democratic presidential and U.S. Senate campaigns.
